It can be powered by the wired AC adapter or two AA batteries. It has two XLR/1/4″ combo jacks with 48v phantom power to connect up to two external mics or line-level sources. This device can stand alone to record audio for interviews, spoken word, or live music performance.

The Canon G50 video camera shoots 4K footage at 24 and 30fps, or HD footage at 24, 30, and 60fps. It is compatible with any of the mics we check out, and with Adobe Premiere CC in our Digital Media Lab.
